Pear Dessert


Crust:
1/2 c margarine
1/3 c sugar
1/2 t vanilla
3/4 c flour
2/3 c chopped nuts
Blend margarin and sugar.  Add vanilla, flour and nuts.  Press into 8x8" square pan and bake for 10 min in 350 oven.  Will not be browned.

Filling:
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1/2 t vanilla
Whip with beater and let set.  Pour slowly over cooked crust (I spoon it carefully).

Topping:
1 large can pears (16oz)
1 t sugar
1 t cinnamon
Drain and cut pears in thin slices.  Spread neatly over filling.  Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.  Bake at 375 for 25 minutes.
