Mom's Enchiladas

1 lb hamburger
1 onion, chopped
1/4 t garlic powder
1 can mild green chilies, chopped
1 1/2 c shredded cheese
2-3 cans tomato sauce
salt and pepper
12 flour tortillas

Brown hamburger, add onion and brown.  Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, chilies, 1 cup cheese, and 1 can tomato sauce.  Turn heat to simmer.  Simmer 10 minutes.  Heat package of tortillas for 3 minutes in microwave.  Put meat down center of each tortilla and roll.  Place in 13x9 baking dish.  Top with remaining tomato sauce and cheese.  Bake covered in 350 oven until cheese on top melts, about 20-30 minutes.

This recipe is yummy and pretty mild.  You can use enchilada sauce in place of the tomato sauce to spice it up.
