Carmelitas

2 c flour
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1 t baking soda
1 1/2 c butter, melted
2 c quick oats
1/2 t salt

Combine and pat 1/2 of mixture into bottom of greased 9X13 pan.  Bake for 10 min at 350.

Top with:
2 c chocolate chips
1 c nuts (almonds)
1 1/2 c caramel ice cream topping
remainder of oat mixture

Bake about 15 minutes more until golden and caramel starts to harden on edges.
