Play Dough
1 c water
1 c flour
2 T cooking oil
2 t cream of tartar
1/2 c salt
Stir. Cook until mixture pulls away from sides and forms a ball. Color with food coloring if desired.
This is what I grew up playing with.
Wendy's Sherbet
1/2 gallon raspberry sherbet
1/2 galloon pineapple sherbet
1 can crushed pineapple (20oz)
4 bananas
1 pkg frozen raspberries
1 pkg frozen blueberries
1 cup nuts
Mash together with potato masher.
Sweet Cream Ice Cream Base
2 large eggs
3/4 c sugar
1 c milk
2 c heavy whipping cream
Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the cream and milk and whisk to blend.
Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following manufacturer's instructions. Makes one quart.
For French Vanilla, add 1 t vanilla extract with cream and milk.
For Super Strawberry, being by slicing 2 pints of fresh strawberries. Add the juic from one lemon and half a cup of sugar. Cover and refrigerate while you prepare the ice cream base. About 5 minutes befoer the ice cream is ready (should be pretty thick) add the fresh strawberries and continue mixing in ice cream maker until ready.
For Luscious Lemon, add juice of 2 lemons with the cream and milk.

McDonald's Shakes
2 c vanilla ice cream
1 1/4 c low fat milk
3 T sugar
For chocolate, omit sugar and add 2 T chocolate Nesquik mix.
For strawberry, omit sugar and add 3 T strawberry Nesquik mix.
Makes 2 12 oz cups.
Lemonade Ice Cream Dessert
1 small can frozen pink lemonade concentrate (or limeade)
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
prepared graham cracker crust
Graham Cracker Crust
1 1/3 c margarine or butter, melted
1 c sugar
2 1/2 c finely crushed graham crackers
Soften ice cream and thaw concentrate. Blend ice cream and concentrate in large mixing bowl. Spread evenly over graham cracker crust in a 9X13 pan. Sprinkle remaining graham cracker crumbs on top. Freeze overnight. Thaw slightly before serving.
Homemade Ice Cream
Beat:
6 eggs until fluffy
Fold in:
3 c sugar
Mix well with:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 t vanilla
Pour into metal ice cream bucket
and fill up to about 2 inches from the top with half and half. Mix in ice cream maker for about 20 minutes
or until done.
Pie Crust
2 c flour
1 t salt
2/3 c + 2 T shortening
1/4 c water or enough to hold dough together
Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening. Add water and stir with fork. Form into two round balls. Roll out and put in pie plate. Fill with filling and cook according to recipe for pie, or prick with fork and bake about 8 minutes at 425 degrees. Makes 2 9"crusts
This is my Mom's recipe and my favorite.
Grandma Bird's Strawberry Pie
1 1/2 c strawberries blended--bring to boil
1 c sugar (adjust sugar if frozen
sweetened strawberries)
3 T corn starch
Cook until boiling, boil 1
minute. Pour over 1 pt berries. Chill. Pour into prepared pie shell with
3 oz cream cheese spread over it.
Coconut Cream Pie
In double boiler
1 C. sugar
1/2 C corn starch
1/4 tsp. salt
Gradually add 3 C. cold milk
Cook over boiling water stirring
until mixture coats spoon
Beat 3 egg yolks
Add small amount of mixture
Return mixture with egg yolks to
remaining mixture.
Cook 15 minutes covered -
stirring occasionally.
Pour into bowl and refrigerate
until cool.
Whip 1 C. whipping cream
Beat cooled filling until smooth,
add 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/4 tsp. coconut extract. fold in whipped cream and 1 C.
coconut.
Put into baked pie crust - Top
with whipped cream.

Cheesecake Pie
Mix:
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c lemon juice
1 t vanilla
Pour into one 9 inch graham
cracker pie crust. Top with 1 6oz can
cherry pie filling (or blueberry).
Brownie Crust Cheese Cake Pie
Mix:
1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 egg
1 cube melted butter
Press into bottom of two 9 inch
pie pans.
Mix until smooth:
3 pkgs. cream cheese
3 eggs
12 oz sour cream
1 3/4 c sugar
4 T lemon juice
1 T vanilla
1/8 t salt
Pour brownie into crusts. Bake at 350 for about one hour, or until tops
brown and begin to crack.
Mix together:
8 oz sour cream
1/4 c sugar
4 T lemon juice
Spread over tops of pies while
still hot. Top with fruit glaze (Danish
